A Son is Given (Part 1) - Isaiah 9:6

Derek Mackie, December 3, 2017
Part of the Individual Passages series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This world needs good news. The prevalent philosophy of man says that we are getting better, and heading toward peace. The news says otherwise. The world longs for peace. The eternal reign of the messiah king is the only hope for the world, but it starts with a birth. We will take a pause on our Romans series to consider the significance of Christmas.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;

and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (ESV)
